Release notes

What changed in each build of Claimball. Claimball is still in testing and has not been released to the public yet.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 10

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • Four more languages: Indonesian, Russian, Arabic and Hindi.
  • The Release Notes link on the first screen now opens the page in your language, at the notes for the version you are playing.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 9

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • A second look for the game: Notebook, a paper-and-grid-notebook style that matches the Claimball website.
  • Pick Classic or Notebook in Settings, at the bottom of the settings card. You can switch any time, even in the middle of a session, and nothing restarts.
  • Classic stays the default, so the game looks the same until you change it.
  • Your theme choice is saved on each device (it is not shared through iCloud), so a phone and a tablet can use different looks.
  • Text contrast was improved a little in both themes so small text is easier to read.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 8

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • New: a small Release Notes link at the bottom of the first screen. It opens the Claimball website's page about what changed in each version.
  • The link opens in your browser and is shown in English for now.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 7

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • Continue on another device (iPhone and iPad): your progress, stars, achievements, the free-trial state and your accessibility settings now follow your iCloud account. It works quietly in the background, and if iCloud is off or offline the game simply keeps its own copy on the device.
  • Not shared through iCloud: the Full Unlock purchase (the App Store keeps track of that), the Daily Challenge attempt, and vibration and sound settings.
  • If a Full Unlock purchase is refunded or taken back through Family Sharing, the game locks again, and it is careful not to lock by mistake when you are signed out or offline.
  • If the app closes in the middle of a Daily Challenge, you get that day's one attempt back. Leaving to the menu on purpose still uses it up.
  • The system Back gesture or button during a Daily Challenge now pauses and resumes the match, and from other screens takes you back to the menu instead of closing the app.
  • Android purchase support was prepared in the same update; Android is not available yet.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 6

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • Full Unlock: try the game free, then make one purchase to unlock everything. It is a one-time purchase, with no subscription and no ads. The price is shown by the store in your own currency.
  • Restore Purchases is in Settings, and purchases waiting for approval (Ask to Buy) are handled. The unlock offer appears only at calm moments, such as after a win, and never pushes you.
  • Daily Challenge rematches were re-balanced so the toughest pairings are no longer nearly impossible or nearly automatic.
  • Requires iOS 15 or later.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 5

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • Six AI rivals, each with their own style, in two leagues. Beat one to unlock the next. Your progress is saved.
  • Rivals now react with faces and little movements when they enter, score, get scored on, are surprised, win or lose.
  • Combo chains: the sound and the haptic buzz step up at 3, 5, 8 and 12 hits in a row. In the last 20 seconds a Fever mode adds a warmer screen tone, bouncing tiles and a quick beep, with the rules unchanged.
  • Each match earns 1 to 3 stars, your best stars show on each rival's card, and there is a list of achievements.
  • Daily Challenge: one match a day with a twist from five variants.
  • New setting, Color-blind patterns: dots on your tiles and stripes on the opponent's.
  • Fixed overlapping sound effects. Mirror, the toughest rival, is a little easier.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 4

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • A new opening: an intro screen with a short "pop" sound, a redesigned menu and a redesigned results screen.
  • Score chips on the match screen were tidied up.
  • New setting: Sound On/Off (on by default). The intro sound is made for the game.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 3

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • A softer, toy-like look: rounded, glossy tiles, a new ball and paddle, and a fresh court. The scoreboard and overlays match.
  • Now in nine languages: English, Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German and French. Longer words no longer spill out of their boxes.
  • Your paddle hit now gives a small vibration (lighter for a normal hit, firmer for a smash). You can turn it off in Settings.
  • The board now keeps a little margin on both sides and room for its shadow on small phones.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 2

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • Claimball now has its app icon.
  • A pause button during a match (also Esc or P on a keyboard) with Resume, Restart and Quit.
  • Fixed items overlapping on some screens.

Beta 1.0.0 ·

Build 1

A TestFlight internal test build, not released to the public yet.

  • The first playable build: a 90-second match on a grid of tiles. Hit the ball to paint tiles your color, and be first to claim 30 or hold more tiles when time runs out.
  • A marker shows where the ball will land. Fill the smash gauge by keeping the rally going to paint a wide strip at once.
  • A tie goes to sudden death: the next point wins. If a ball is still in the air at 90 seconds, the match waits for it to land.
  • The game pauses automatically when you leave the app. Drag, keyboard and touch controls are supported.
